Word of the Month – February 2017

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20

February

He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”  Matthew 13:33

Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

In this verse, there are many interpretation of the yeast, yet many aren’t aware of its deepest meaning of God’s heart when Jesus spoke about it. We all know that a little yeast could easily spread through an entire dough when it is time to apply it. That means when Israel is ready with its brides for the groom, our Lord Jesus Christ, is coming swiftly and quickly to this world for the rapture at His 2nd coming. We are seeing more and more Jews returning back to Israel to rebuild its walls and homes. TCC is in the journey of fulfilling Isaiah 58:12, grafting into the Nation of Israel, through celebration of the feasts and sowing into the land which God loves dearly.

Believers are always talking about revival and the power of the Holy Spirit coming powerfully upon the Church, yet still many churches are not experiencing it. Why? Because revival is not just an event or occasion which you see the manifestation of miracles, signs and wonders. It is literally a habitation of the Spirit of God and His presence coming heavily upon the salvation of the souls, filling the thirst and hunger for His righteousness. It happens when prosecutions are taking place and comfort places are shaken. Multitudes are swarming to the altar of God in repentance. It is a spiritual awakening for the whole body of Christ and even the pre-believers. The conviction is so strong within the community that it presses deeply in the conscience of every souls that is in contact with the presence of God. Sins become REAL to them and it just breaks their spirit for complete redemption for their souls. Holy Spirit can just kick start a soul ground breaking experience among all the living beings in that area, with the fervency of prayers and unceasing intercession for salvation.

God is always ready for revival but we are not. Why? Talking about it and paying the price are two different things entirely. When I research into revivals that have taken place in the last 100 years, I notice that it all birth through prayers. Just imagine intercessors praying for 6 nights in a week and for the duration of 2 years before the huge revival fire hit the Toronto Revival. There are even afternoons where the congregation after leaving the church service in the afternoon, just felt so uneasy and uncomfortable that they have to return back to church for prayers despite the church staff has locked the gate and door. The Senior Pastor has to come back to re-open the service. Just imagine the Holy Spirit didn’t just spoke to one person but the whole ENTIRE CHURCH! Wow! That’s POWER! the

Another sign are people literally selling their assets and building up the kingdom of God by helping other needy families and blessing the community. They didn’t want to build riches which the moths or world could take away but rather they begin to build their heavenly homes through real love in providing physical needs for the poor, the sick, the orphans and the widow. Life is not just living for this world but for the eternity that is to come. All the riches that we have gained are not ours but God’s. We are just the steward for the Kingdom of God. We can never out give God because He always out give us in ALL ways. Matthew 6:19-20. When I am child, all I know is about receiving, yet when I mature in Christ, all that I know is about giving. Jesus said to Apostle Paul in Acts 20:35, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

To God be the Glory!

With Love Always,

Ps. Darien Choo

Associate Pastor
