Week 3

Today's Inspiration: Do not depart from the commandment of His lips. Treasure the words of the Lord in the scriptures more than necessary food. Job 23:12. One word of exhortation is that when you declare what you desire, it will be established and light will shine your way. Job 22.28. You will make your prayer and He will answer you. Verse 27. There is no other God who can assure you of such promises. He will perform according to the measure of your belief. It is His sovereignty to test us as He wants us to have His divine attributes but after the testing we shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10

We have entered a season of increase and all around us is a blessing. He will cause showers of blessing to come down on us and make fruitfulness and increase our portion. We are safe in His hands because He had broken our yoke and delivered us from captivity. Ezekiel 34:26-27. If God is your Lord, how can you not enter into these promises? Our end should be better than the beginning. Job 8.7, Ezekiel 36:11.

The reason why we cannot believe is because our past negativity always haunt us with fear. We have no boldness to step forward because the accuser of brethren, the devil keeps reminding us of our past inadequacy caused by rejection and failure. This inadequacy had been with us for years and even decades and become our habits that cling to us that we cannot be set free. We should not allow our past failure to determine our future but to learn from them and avoid this landmine of failure so that we can leap forward again. Do not allow fear to control you but let His perfect Love for you cast out fear from you. 1 John 4:18.

Inferiority hampers your progress. With more meditation of His word you will conquer fear, inferiority, rejection and insecurity. God wants us to emerge with His strength for Christ is the hallmark of our strength and power. Philippians 4:13, Deuteronomy 8:18. Success and blessings are attained first in your mind before it is manifested in the physical. His ways are awesome beyond words. Can't you perceive it. Life is full of hard knocks because we are by nature rebellious people but as we learn from our hard knocks, we emerge as spiritual champions. The root is in our complacency. The moment we are complacent, the enemy comes like a hawk ready to devour us. This is what happened to Joshua in the conquest of Ai. Man easily forget their humble beginnings. When they have their prayers answered they become complacent. Once you become complacent, you opened the door to the enemy, leading to challenges worse off than before.

You cannot afford to be complacent. Be alert and watchful. Faith must be followed by action to achieve its desired result. Be doers of the word and not the hearers only or you are deceiving yourself. James 1:22.
