Today's Inspiration: It is essential that we be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:48. Many do not recognise the fact that it is an honour to serve the Lord. People equate serving the Lord as one who served the world. We have forgotten that we are serving the King of kings and the Lord of lords. God's commandments is to serve the Lord with all our heart, our mind and our strength. Many do not prosper because they transgress the commandments of the Lord by quitting when the going gets tough. If we forsake the works of the Lord, He will forsake us. 2 Chronicles 24:20.

It is important that we do not take grace for granted but serve God with joy or the suddenlies will come and we cannot lift up our head for the Lord will look down from heaven and see how we perform for Him and are accountable for every deed or word we say, our behaviour and attitude and He will repay us accordingly. 2 Corinthians 5:10.

We need to take heed of the word of God. The words of the Lord are pure like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. We should keep them and preserve them from this generation forever and not forsake them. Psalm 12:6-7.

The tongue is a powerful weapon of prayer. By your words you can soar above the struggles and challenges of your everyday life and ride the winds of blessing and praise. By your words, your destiny is established. What you say within yourself or to others will determine the result of your destiny. There is a tendency to react with harmful word to the hearer when you get angry or agitated. If we want victory in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones and others, let the words come out of our mouth be few and bring forth life and blessings. Proverbs 16.24. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

The words that we speak impact our lives and determines our future. It is the tongue that controls our lives. So we must be a good steward of oour tongue. Our words once spoken never return to us void. What you don't want others to do to you, you should not do what you don't like others to do to you. David asked the Lord fervently to guard the door of his lips in Psalm 141:3.

Words that we speak everyday determines all that we ever receive from God. Words spoken in anger against someone will be returned to you to accomplish what you have set out to do. Isaiah 55:11. Our words determine what we will ever receive from God. Are we speaking words of healing or sickness, prosperity or poverty, peace or war, rejection or love?

Our thoughts are dangerous too. Before we speak, we must control our thoughts. Our weakest Weapon is our thoughts hence the enemy knows it and bombards our thoughts with doubt, fear, jealousy, vengeance, opposition and discouragement. He wants to prevent us from receiving all that God had in store for us. Don't let negative thoughts dwell too long in your thoughts or it will become a stronghold that manipulates and dominates your life. The devil always put thoughts into our mind contrary to the word of God. We have to make a choice to tear them down or retain them in times of strife. Proverbs 23:7 whatever you perceives you receive. Shut the door of your thoughts to the enemy.
